1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services of Nature & Outdoor Travel Guide ("Company", "we", "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

We provide outdoor travel experiences, wilderness programs, guided tours, and related services. All services are subject to availability and may be modified or cancelled due to weather, safety concerns, or other factors beyond our control.

3. Booking and Payment

• All bookings require a deposit (typically 30-50% of total cost)
• Full payment is due 30 days before trip departure
• Prices are in CAD unless otherwise stated
• We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers
• Payment confirms acceptance of these terms and trip-specific conditions

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• 30+ days before departure: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
• 15-29 days before departure: 50% refund
• Less than 14 days: No refund
• Cancellations by the Company due to insufficient enrollment: Full refund
• Cancellations due to force majeure: Credit for future trips
• We strongly recommend travel insurance

5. Participant Responsibilities

Participants must:

• Provide accurate health and fitness information
• Follow guide instructions and safety protocols
• Possess adequate physical fitness for chosen programs
• Respect wildlife, environment, and Leave No Trace principles
• Behave respectfully toward other participants and guides
• Carry required personal items and follow packing lists
• Obtain necessary travel documents and insurance

6. Health and Safety

Outdoor activities involve inherent risks. Participants acknowledge that:

• Nature travel carries risk of injury, illness, or death
• Weather and terrain conditions can be unpredictable
• Wildlife encounters are possible
• Medical facilities may be remote or inaccessible
• Guides will make safety decisions, including trip modifications or evacuations
• Participants must disclose all relevant medical conditions

7. Liability Waiver

By participating, you agree to:

• Assume all risks associated with outdoor activities
• Release the Company from liability for injury, loss, or damage
• Not hold the Company responsible for third-party service failures
• Sign a detailed waiver before trip commencement

This waiver does not affect rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and repatriation. The Company is not responsible for costs related to trip interruption, medical treatment, or evacuation.

9. Photography and Media

The Company may photograph or film trips for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant permission for your image to be used in marketing materials unless you opt out in writing.

10. Conduct and Dismissal

The Company reserves the right to dismiss participants whose behavior:

• Endangers themselves or others
• Violates local laws or regulations
• Disrupts group dynamics or disrespects guides
• Violates environmental or wildlife protection standards

Dismissed participants forfeit all fees with no refund.

11. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or extreme weather.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website (text, images, logos, designs) is protected by copyright and trademark law. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
